Operational audit
Asset Management and Maintenance Audits was written by Ralph Bell and Jo Harris and published by BSRIA in July 2012. It states: ‘Operational audits test compliance with the on-going day-to-day activities based on the operation and maintenance requirements and whether these arrangements yield the anticipated results. This requires a clear statement of the maintenance activities and a method of measuring the outputs. Outputs are sometimes expressed as benchmarks, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They may be quantifiable, or may be levels of achievement based on subjective judgement to measure performance.’
