Oil and Gas Authority
High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester) Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, published by the Department for Transport in 2022, defines the Oil and Gas Authority as: ‘…a Government company established to regulate, influence and promote the UK oil and gas industry in order to achieve the statutory principal objective of maximising the economic recovery of the UK’s oil and gas resources.’
