Low voltage driving PDLC film for smart glass
HUICHI, a Chinese manufacturer and supplier has developed low-voltage drive (24v) smart, switchable film for tempered glass lamination.
LCD films can be turned from opaque to transparent by remote control, providing privacy whilst maintaining clear space. The transparency of the liquid crystal film changes when an electric current is run through it, instantly becoming opaque (frosted). The films typically have a self-adhesive back allowing them to be added to new or existing glass.
They can be used to provide privacy and security, or can be used to create projection screens, making spaces they are installed in multi-functional.
Normally the smart film drives at 60V-70V, but NEWSET LCD FILM drives at 24V, and so costs less.

Switchable film with self adhesive layer is a good solution, however, switchable glass adds extra protection and can be used in any environments, including wet and high traffic.
