Light source lumens
Approved document L, Conservation of Fuel and Power, Volume 2: Buildings other than dwellings, 2021 edition incorporating 2023 amendments, defines light source lumens as: ‘The sum of the average initial (100 hour) lumen output of all the light sources in a luminaire. Does not include any losses or inefficiencies of the luminaire.’
