Green infrastructure and open environments: The all London green grid. Supplementary planning guidance, published by the Mayor of London in March 2012, suggests that: ‘Planning at the landscape scale adopts a holistic approach that looks beyond site based conservation and development. In addition to looking at biodiversity, it takes into account broader socio-economic issues including the local economy, agriculture, urban form, tourism, geodiversity, topography, hydrology and the health, cultural and social benefits of the environment.'
