A practical guide for firms and suppliers, written by Bailey Kursar for the Money Advice Trust and Fair By Design and published in 2021, suggests: ‘When designers talk about the ‘Job to be Done’ (JTBD), they are referring to the reason why a user is using the product or service at hand.’
