Industrial Emissions Directive
Planning our electric future: a White Paper for secure, affordable and low-carbon electricity, Glossary, published by the Department of Energy & Climate Change on 14 July 2011, defines the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) as a: ‘EU Directive which consolidates seven existing European Directives relating to industrial installations with the aim of providing a single clear and coherent legislative instrument for controlling pollution from industrial operations.’
