Detached building
A detached building is simply 'A building that does not share a party wall with a neighbouring property.' Though there maybe further definition required where a house is, for example linked by garages.
These are properties that have no adjoining neighbour', whereas properties with adjoining neighbours on both sides are described as terraced and properties that share a party wall on only one side with another house (usually of similar design) are referred to as semi-detached or simply as a semi.
