Clean cooking facilities
Net Zero by 2050, A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector, published by the International Energy Agency in May 2021, defines clean cooking facilities as: ‘Cooking facilities that are considered safer, more efficient and more environmentally sustainable than the traditional facilities that make use of solid biomass (such as a three-stone fire). This refers primarily to improved solid biomass cookstoves, biogas systems, liquefied petroleum gas stoves, ethanol and solar stoves.’
