Climate Change Act 2022 Northern Ireland
The Northern Ireland Climate Change Act came into force in June 2022 and set out targets for net-zero emissions by 2050 and intermediate targets for 2030 and 2040.
The Climate Change Committee issued a report in early 2023 regarding the 2030 / 2040 interim targets, the first thee Carbon budgets set out in the Act (Northern Ireland) and how to achieve the targets.
