American National Standards Institute
Standards (TG 11/2016), Published by BSRIA in 2016, states: ‘ANSI - The American National Standards Institute is recognised by US Government as the national standards body with the mission to strengthen the US marketplace position in the global economy. While they do produce their own standards they are actively engaged in accrediting standards development organisation and have over 200 such organisations. ANSI require any standard developer to adhere to a set of requirements that govern the consensus process and ensures all standards have integrity for the market.’
