Air quality management areas
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government in December 2024, defines air quality management areas as: ‘Areas designated by local authorities because they are not likely to achieve national air quality objectives by the relevant deadlines.’
