American Society of Heating and Air-conditioning Engineers
Standards (TG 11/2016), Published by BSRIA in 2016, states: ‘ASHRAE - The American Society of Heating and Air-conditioning Engineers mission statement is to shape tomorrow’s built environment. The society is accredited by the American National Standards Institute and specifically looks at developing standards concerned with refrigeration processes and the design and maintenance of indoor environments. The purpose of the organisation's standards is to establish consensus for test use in commerce as well as performance criteria for use as facilitators.’
