Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) is a flooring used by commercial designers and in industrial renovations. A sturdy and versatile alternative to tile and hardwood, LVT is highly regarded for its ability to replicate designs with intricate detail. LVT showcases the character, look and texture of wood flooring, or the texture and feel of Italian slate tiles, offering an affordable alternative.

LVT is a type of vinyl flooring consisting of multiple layers. The flooring has a design layer on the surface or top which is an extremely high quality representation of wood, stone or tile. These designs are very authentic and can help transform any space without some of the drawbacks of natural products.
LVT's design layer is topped with a clear protective coating that has built-in stain and scratch resistance. As a result, LVT flooring is very durable and tough, soft to walk on and even waterproof.

You might not instal real wood flooring in a bathroom, because it will get wet. Water, or other liquids, and wood flooring do not always go together very well. Exposure to moisture can cause staining, warping, and other damage that reduces a floor’s lifespan.

LVT is extremely versatile and practical. Its durability, robustness and water resistance mean that it can be easily installed in any room in your home. It can withstand the high levels of footfall associated with busy areas such as hallways and living spaces. It can be used with underfloor heating or in rooms such as conservatories where the temperature is constantly changing.

LVT has a softer feel than many other types of flooring. LVT has an underlayment which absorbs some of the impact of footsteps. Some LVTs also come with an additional acoustic underlay to muffle the sound of footsteps. Additional underlayments can be added to further enhance the soft, quiet nature of LVT flooring.

LVT flooring is very easy to care for and maintain simply by sweeping up dust, hair and other debris, it requires no more than routine care. Occasionally use a damp mop, there is no need to wax, polish, buff, seal or do any of the other maintenance.
