Public procurement toolbox, terminology, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), states: ‘Sustainable public procurement is defined as the procurement of goods and services by government entities that take into consideration social, economic and environmental aspects in an effort to generate social, economic and environmental benefits to society.’
