Supplier assessment questionnaire
STAR Procurement (a shared procurement service for Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford Councils), Glossary of Terms, published in May 2019, defines a supplier assessment questionnaire as:
‘A questionnaire to be completed by suppliers interested in tendering for a specific contract and used as part of either and Open or Restricted Procedure tender; responses on subjects such as experience, turnover, technical expertise and in-house capacity enable buyers to assess suitability for tender invitation. The format and majority of the questions are mandated by the CCS (Crown Commercial Service). Formerly known as a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.’
