New product introduction
Construction Quality Planning Guide, Draft for Consultation, Published by the Construction Innovation Hub in May 2020, suggests that New Product Introduction (NPI) programs: ‘…aim to introduce new and usually complex products to markets through a standardised process. The phases typically covered are concept planning, design & manufacture, final validation & production launch. This is usually achieved in other sectors through application of process such as the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process.’
