Initial model assessment
Should cost modelling, Development guidance, Published by the Government Commercial Function in May 2021, suggests that an Initial Model Assessment (IMA) is: ‘…the process of evaluating the risks associated with an SCM (should cost model) to inform proportional QA (Quality Assurance) and testing activities. It considers both the SCM’s criticality or impact, with reference to the decision it is designed to support, together with environmental factors that drive risk such as the SCM’s complexity and the nature of underlying data.
