Global positioning system GPS
BIM for Heritage, Developing a Historic Building Information Model, published by Historic England in July 2017, defines Global Positioning System (GPS) as: ‘…specifically the name for the satellite constellation operated by the USA but also a generic term used to describe surveying or navigation by reference to a satellite constellation.’
