Point cloud

BIM for Heritage, Developing the Asset Information Model, published by Historic England in 2019, defines a point cloud as: ‘A collection of XYZ coordinates in a common co-ordinate system, that may also include additional information such as an intensity or RGB value, that portrays to the viewer an understanding of the spatial distribution of the surface of a subject.’
