Generic Assessment Criteria
Glossary of common terms used in the management of land contamination, published on the Planning Portal, defines Generic Assessment Criteria (GAC) as: ‘Criteria derived using general assumptions about the characteristics and behaviour of sources, pathways and receptors. These assumptions will be protective in a range of defined conditions.’
