Gamma rays
Technical paper 35: Moisture measurement in the historic environment, published by Historic Environment Scotland in 2021, defines gamma rays as: ‘A form of electromagnetic energy with the highest frequency (i.e. the highest level of energy) and arising from the radioactive decay of atomic nuclei.’
