Fluorocarbon
The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), defines a fluorocarbon as: ‘…a gas used as a propellant in aerosols. It contributes to the destruction of the ozone layer in the stratosphere, thereby allowing harmful forms of solar radiation to reach the earth’s surface.’
