In the UK; energy, transport, waste and wastewater sectors accounted for over 66% of greenhouse gas emissions in 2019. Economic infrastructure encompasses these sectors as well as telecommunications and water. The drive towards net zero is leading to new sectors such as hydrogen which requires new infrastructure. These assets and services are required to sustain economic activity, and all have a different degree of complexity which can be difficult to understand.’
