Data regulator

Skills and Competency Framework, Supporting the development and adoption of the Information Management Framework (IMF) and the National Digital Twin, published by the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) in 2021, states: ‘The Data Regulator is an independent authority set up to uphold information rights for the public good. They collaborate with regulated sectors, government bodies and other regulators to develop regulation that promotes openness, secure sharing and data privacy for individuals and organisationssetting the framework for consistency. They are focused on the legal, cyber security and ethical use of data to drive national trust and transparency and ensure the nation benefits from availability and sharing of good quality data.’
