Data stewards

Skills and Competency Framework, Supporting the development and adoption of the Information Management Framework (IMF) and the National Digital Twin, published by the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) in 2021, suggests that: ‘Data Stewards are primary advocates for data quality and usually operate within the data/information management and governance disciplines. They are sometimes called Data Owners and help to define data procedures, standards and guidelines and engage others in the quality management process. This role can exist at the discipline, function, business process, system or project level and can work successfully if empowered to work across departments and domains to promote good quality data leading to better integration and value.’
