The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Glossary of procurement terms, suggests that consolidated deliveries is: ‘The practice of grouping deliveries with similar products or products which have similar transportation requirements in one journey to reduce the unit cost instead of making many single deliveries of the same item.’
