Class M permitted development for change of use
Class M allows for example the conversion of up to 150sq.m of laundrettes, betting offices, payday loan shops and takeaways to homes. The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 refers to M.1 as development not permitted by Class M, M.2 development permitted by Class M subject to certain conditions, the procedure for applications for prior approval under Class M (M.2A), and the procedure for prior consultation under Class M (M.2B).
