Centralised electrically heated
Approved document L, Conservation of Fuel and Power, Volume 2: Buildings other than dwellings, 2021 edition incorporating 2023 amendments, defines centralised electrically heated as: ‘A domestic hot water system in which the water is supplied to the draw-off points from a device in which water is heated by an electric element or elements immersed in the stored water. The water heater is situated centrally with a distribution system to supply water to the draw-off points and has a capacity greater than 300 litres.’
