Appliance compartment
Approved Document J, Combustion appliances and fuel storage systems, 2010 edition incorporating 2010, 2013 and 2022 amendments, defines an appliance compartment as: ‘…an enclosure specifically constructed or adapted to accommodate one or more combustion appliances.’
The Scottish Building Standards, Part I. Technical Handbook – Domestic, Appendix A Defined Terms, defines an appliance compartment as: ‘…a space constructed or adapted specifically for the housing of a combustion appliance.’
