Universal Credit
Housing statistics and English Housing Survey, glossary, published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities in 2019, defines Universal Credit as: ‘..a single, means-tested working-age benefit; paid to people whether in work or not.’
Universal credit is progressively replacing:
- Child Tax Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income Support
- Working Tax Credit
