Shopfitter
Short Guide, Scottish traditional shopfronts, published, on 18 April 2017 by Historic Environment Scotland, defines a shopfitter as: ‘A specialised type of tradesman, sometimes having originally been a joiner, who fits both shop frontages and shop interiors. Well known firms include Pollards (London), Harris and Sheldon (Birmingham) and Archibald McEwan (Glasgow).’
