Secondary heating
Approved document L: Conservation of fuel and power, 2021 edition incorporating 2023 amendments, defines secondary heating as: ‘A space heating appliance or system which operates separately from the main heating system in the dwelling and does not provide most of the heating in the dwelling – for example, a decorative fuel-effect fire in a room which also contains radiators for a central heating system.’
