Rotary shoe valve
Guide to Controls (BG 83/2023) written by John Marrow and published by BSRIA in June 2023, suggests that rotary shoe valves: ‘…use a rotating shoe which is moved over characterised internal ports by a rotary actuator. They are commonly used on chilled and low pressure hot water systems. They don’t require as much height as a linear valve and actuator, therefore can be fitted in smaller spaces than some linear valves.’
