Proportional control
Guide to Controls (BG 83/2023) written by John Marrow and published by BSRIA in June 2023, defines proportional control as: ‘A control mode in which the control action is to move the final control device by an amount proportional to the deviation from the setpoint.’
It defines proportional plus integral control (P+I) as: 'A combined control mode which combines proportional and integral control.'
