Percentage point

Resource Efficiency and Climate Change, Material Efficiency Strategies for a Low-Carbon Future, published by the UN Environment Programme in 2020, defines a percentage point (pp) as the: ‘Arithmetic difference between two percentages. For example, the difference between 20% and 22% is two percentage points, but 22% is 10% larger than 20%.’
