Measurement methodology
Guide for Effective Benefits Management in Major Projects, published by the Infrastructure and Projects Authority in October 2017, defines a measure or metric as: ‘A quantity that is measured on a regular basis, and direction of travel confirms the realisation of the benefit.’
It suggests that a measurement methodology is: ‘Where the data for the measures will come from, could be a person or role but should realistically be a team or Department.’
