Mass production
Offsite residential construction, Glossary of terms, published by Buildoffsite in 2018, suggests the term mass production refers to: ‘The production of a large number of identical or very similar components to realise the benefits of economies of scale. This term was used commonly in the 1950s and 1960s, but is rarely used now with respect to offsite.’
