The Green Book, Central Government Guidance On Appraisal And Evaluation, Published by HM Treasury in 2020, suggests: ‘Longlist refers to the initial, wide set of possible option choices considered in the first stage of appraisal using the options framework filter before selecting the shortlist.’
The 2018 Green Book, stated: ‘Long-list refers to the initial, wide set of possible options considered in the first stage of appraisal to achieve objectives.’
