Comprehensive route
The Home Quality Mark One, Technical Manual SD239, England, Scotland & Wales, published by BRE in 2018 suggests that the comprehensive route:
‘…provides a more accurate measurement of the risks in the building design associated with construction products by taking account of the quantity of each construction product within a location and use category. It requires quantities to be entered into the HQM materials tool rather than using the lowest ‘location and use’ category score per material category. The improvement in rigour justifies the comprehensive route having the potential to produce better scores than the foundation route.’
