Peak particle velocity
High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester) Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, published by the Department for Transport in 2022, defines peak particle velocity (PPV) as: ‘The maximum velocity that is recorded during a particular vibration event. It is commonly used to assess the potential for damage to structures due to ground-borne vibration’
