STL file
3D Printing, At a glance, was published by BSRIA in September 2017. It defines an STL file as: ‘A file format native to the stereolithography CAD software created by 3D Systems. STL has several after-the-fact backronyms such as "Standard Triangle Language" and "Standard Tessellation Language". It is a file format commonly used for 3D printing as well as similar file formats VRML and AMF.’
