Road rail vehicle
High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester) Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, published by the Department for Transport in 2022, defines a road rail vehicle as: ‘A vehicle that can operate both on rail tracks and roads. Such vehicles are often used for railway maintenance.’
