Receiver
Technical paper 35: Moisture measurement in the historic environment, published by Historic Environment Scotland in 2021, defines a receiver as: ‘The component of a device that measures the response in a signal.’
It may also refer to a person or organisation that gets or accepts something that has been sent or given to them, such as an information receiver.
Or, it may refer to a person or organisation appointed under the terms of the Law of Property Act 1925 to take charge of a mortgaged property when the borrower is in default.
