Process carbon dioxide emissions
Embodied Carbon, The Inventory of Carbon and Energy (ICE), By Prof. Geoffrey Hammond and Craig Jones, Ed. Fiona Lowrie and Peter Tse, published by BSRIA in 2011, defines process carbon dioxide emissions as: ‘Non-fuel related carbon dioxide emissions, i.e. derived from chemical or physical reactions during manufacturing processes, such as the carbon released from limestone in the kiln of cement clinker production.’
