Multifunctional space
Shaping neighbourhoods: Play and informal recreation, Supplementary planning guidance, published by the Mayor of London in September 2012, suggests that: ‘A Multifunctional space is a ‘shared’ public space or communal space, which offers a range of leisure and recreation opportunities for users of all ages. Multifunctional spaces for all ages should be the optimum.’
