Floating fund
Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011, Code of Conduct for Property Factors, Laid before the Scottish Parliament by the Scottish Ministers under Section 14 of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 in January 2020, defines floating funds (“The Float”) as: ‘The collective term for advance payments made by homeowners kept in a maintenance account by a property factor to deal with routine or minor repairs.’
