Enterprise system
BIM for Heritage, Developing the Asset Information Model, published by Historic England in 2019, defines an enterprise system as: ‘Asset management, computer-aided facility management (CAFM), geographical information systems (GIS), databases and archives used to manage information about an asset/estate.’
The GIIG Glossary, published by the Government & Industry Interoperability Group in 2022, defines an enterprise system as: ‘A large-scale software application used to manage fundamental aspects of an organisation’s business.’
