Database

The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), defines a database as: ‘A logical collection of information that is interrelated and that is managed and stored as a unit, for example in the same computer file. The terms database and data set are often used interchangeably.’
