Conciliator
Roles in construction projects: analysis and terminology, by Hughes, W. and Murdoch, J. R, published in 2001 by the University of Reading, describes a conciliator or mediator as: ‘Someone who helps disputing parties to come to an agreement, sometimes involving a recommendation if no agreement is forthcoming.’
